A new vision for Sapan Greenport Theatre

Our mission is to provide an inclusive cultural arts center where people of the North Fork community can come together to be entertained, educated, and inspired by world cinema, live performances, fine art exhibitions, lecture series, and hands-on arts training. NFAC is committed to improving the quality of life in our community by promoting an appreciation for cultural arts, creativity, and critical thinking.

Programming Beyond Film

Step into a world of dance as NFAC and Brooklyn Ballet collaborate for a unique three-week residency hosted across the North Fork. The Sapan Greenport Theatre will come alive with three stunning performances; NFAC has also coordinated workshops led by Brooklyn Ballet at a local school and at Peconic Landing. These sessions will weave a tapestry of artistic expression across the North Fork, nurturing creativity and inspiring audiences. Celebrating the magic of movement, this collaboration honors the diversity that makes our community vibrant and unique.

Support the arts and education

The North Fork Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 2023 to preserve the historic Greenport Theatre when current owner, Josh Sapan, generously offered to gift it, thus taking it off the real estate market for future development. The possibilities to restore and reimagine this landmark theater are endless with your help. Become a Founding Member and donate today.

MAKE A DONATION

We have to stop thinking of it as just a movie theater, it’s so much more. This is going to become an arts center.
